Maar de monumentale bruid representeert vooral de immer voortglijdende tijd. En de pogingen om alles wat ons lief is te redden. Vergeefs...
Stil, staand in het koor van de kerk biedt ‘The Bride’ mogelijk een moment van verzoening*.
Verzoening met ons lot: ‘therapeutic catwalk’.

A different fashion of fashion: the wedding dress as existential drama, the bride as antihero. With her 80-metre train – a patchwork creation from over 300 kilo’s defunct bridal gowns – she tells us: ‘Personal failure is collective and recurrent’.

Standing silently in the chancel of the church, ‘The Bride’ offers us a moment of acceptance*
of our fate: ‘A Therapeutic Catwalk’.
